Little Nomad Coffee Cart is a mobile cafe designed around specialty expresso beverages and curated roast selections from around the US.
Little Nomad specializes in small-volume corporate events, apartment catering, recording studio catering, and athletic events around Nashville, TN.
Owned and operated by Sean Burnette, the idea for Little Nomad came about in audio school at MTSU of all places. The words "the best thing you can do for your audio career is learn to make a good cup of coffee" was taken a bit too seriously. After a year of working out of a café in Nolensville, TN, the foundations for a coffee cart came out of a random facebook marketplace purchase of a Lelit Bianca Espresso Machine. When interning at Keystone Studios Nashville, that same Lelit Bianca started finding its way to recording sessions. Internee and Nashville-based music producer, Nick Gibbens, suggested there was untapped potential in the recording studio space for coffee carting, but it needed to be formalized. Hence, "Little Nomad Coffee Cart, LLC" was born. In the earliest days, the cart catered exclusively to recording studios, but has since expanded to more avenues of serving the Nashville community. However, the same bones and structure of curated roast selections still remain, originating from the recording musician's desire for black coffee, but with variety. At that time, the roast menu came about after visits to other states and bringing back something for the musicians to try. Today, the cart includes a rotating menu of a variety of different roasters with single origin offerings along with seasonal specialties highlighting experimentalism, originality, and grown ingredients. Both on a personal and cultural level, Little Nomad carries influence from the unification of human experience between coffee and music.
With that being said, as a part of the coffee industry, we as a collective owe so much to the humans that have put so much effort into creating such amazing products for us all to love and enjoy every morning. Our lives would look very different if it weren't for the farmers and pickers that make up this industry. Little Nomad will always be a business that pays homage to the people that are often forgotten within the day to day. That's why for every coffee selection provided on the rotating menu there will be information provided on where and who your coffee comes from. Let all of us who partake in this wonderful provision never take all we have for granted...
